Planning & FAQs
Planning permission for your new porch is only required if your design answers ‘yes’ to any of these questions:
- Will the ground floor area (when measured externally) exceed 3 square metres?
- Will any part of the porch be more than 3 metres above ground level?
- Will any part of the porch be within 2 metres of any boundary and/or highway?
(You may also need planning permission if you are in a Conservation Area or part of a Listed building.)
